Piatt Companies is seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to own and execute our digital marketing efforts end to end. This role will be located in our Downtown Pittsburgh office adjacent to Market Square and is responsible for driving traffic, leads, conversions, goodwill and revenue through paid advertising, content, website optimization, SEO, and social media oversight.

This is not a purely strategic role. The ideal candidate is comfortable executing day-to-day, testing and optimizing campaigns, improving website performance, and using data to continuously improve results.


Key Responsibilities:


Paid Advertising & Acquisition

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and others as appropriate
  • Manage budgets, creative testing, targeting, and performance optimization
  • Monitor ROI, CAC, and conversion metrics and adjust strategy accordingly

Website & Conversion Optimization

  • Own website performance with a focus on conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Improve landing pages, user journeys, and on-site messaging
  • Collaborate with designers or developers as needed; comfortable making updates directly in CMS tools

SEO

  • Develop and execute SEO strategy, including:
    • On-page optimization
    • Keyword research
    • Technical SEO fundamentals
    • Content optimization for organic growth
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, and search performance via Google Search Console and analytics tools

Content & Messaging

  • Create or directly contribute to digital content, including:
    • Website copy
    • Landing pages
    • Ad creative and copy
    • SEO-driven content
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all digital channels

Social Media Oversight

  • Own the social media strategy in alignment with overall marketing and business goals
  • Define content themes, posting cadence, and channel priorities
  • Oversee content creation and publishing (hands-on or through contractors/internal resources, depending on structure)
  • Ensure social media supports paid campaigns, SEO, and brand positioning
  • Monitor performance and engagement, providing insights and recommendations for improvement

(This role is responsible for strategy, quality, and performance—day-to-day posting may be delegated, but accountability remains with this role.)

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on performance using tools such as GA4, ad platform dashboards, social analytics, and SEO tools
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Provide regular performance updates to leadership

  • Measurable improvements in website performance, SEO visibility, and social engagement

Required

  • 4–8 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Proven hands-on experience managing paid ads and digital campaigns
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices
  • Experience optimizing websites for conversion
  • Experience owning or overseeing social media strategy
  • Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset

Preferred

  • Experience in small or mid-sized organizations
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Shopify)
  • Experience working with freelancers or agencies
  • Basic design or creative tool experience (e.g., Figma, Adobe, Canva)
