Digital Marketing Manager

Paid Search, SEO & AI Marketing

Pacific Mind Health | Full-Time | Remote (U.S., Preferably in Pacific Time Zone)

Job Summary

Pacific Mind Health, one of Southern California's leading psychiatric practices, is bringing digital marketing in-house and building a high-performance growth function focused on measurable patient acquisition.

We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager who can own patient acquisition across paid search, SEO, and AI-powered marketing. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution—building campaigns, improving rankings, creating AI-powered marketing assets, and turning performance data into actionable insights.

This role works directly with leadership and has real ownership over marketing performance, budgets, and growth initiatives. You'll be supported by an in-house content team, a dedicated web developer, and a business development team so you can focus on digital marketing channels (paid/PPC/organic), creative marketing and driving measurable marketing results.

Responsibilities

Paid Search Management

  • Develop, execute, and optimize Google Ads campaigns across Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen for key service lines including TMS, Spravato®, psychiatry, and therapy.
  • Own day-to-day campaign execution, including bid management, budget pacing, keyword expansion, negative keyword management, ad testing, and conversion optimization.
  • Manage audience targeting, bidding strategies, budget allocation, keyword development, ad testing, and conversion optimization.
  • Improve campaign performance through ongoing analysis and experimentation focused on reducing cost-per-scheduled-patient.
  • Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, lead quality, and return on investment.
  • Ensure campaigns comply with Google's healthcare advertising policies and internal compliance requirements.

SEO / AEO / GEO Strategy & Technical Ownership

  • Lead and execute on-page SEO initiatives across service and location pages, including metadata, headers, internal linking, structured data, and content optimization.
  • Monitor search performance through Google Search Console and analytics tools, identifying indexing issues, ranking opportunities, and technical SEO improvements.
  • Develop SEO requirements and make recommendations for internal content and development teams.
  • Drive Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives to improve brand visibility across AI-powered search experiences, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
  • Monitor organic search performance, indexing, technical issues, and ranking opportunities through Google Search Console and related tools.
  • Implement and maintain structured data, schema markup, internal linking strategies, and other technical SEO best practices.

AI-Powered Marketing

  • Create and produce AI-assisted advertising assets, including static creative, video content, and avatar-based ads using tools like Runway, Sora/Veo, Arcads or HeyGen-class avatar platforms, CapCut and Adobe Firefly.
  • Conduct rapid creative testing and optimization programs to identify and scale high-performing campaigns.
  • Evaluate emerging AI marketing technologies and recommend new tools, workflows, and capabilities that improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize AI tools and large language models as a core part of daily marketing operations, including campaign analysis, reporting, content creation, and process automation.
  • Build and test landing pages using modern AI-assisted development tools, collaborating closely with our web developer when needed.
  • Stay current on advancements in AI-powered marketing and proactively identify, test, and adopt new capabilities that deliver measurable business value.

Marketing Analytics & Reporting

  • Own and maintain UTM taxonomy with accurate conversion tracking, attribution, and reporting across Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), CallRail, HubSpot, and related platforms.
  • Create, analyze and deliver weekly and monthly performance reports, including cost-per-acquisition (CPA), cost-per-scheduled-patient, and service-line performance metrics, while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop a unified view of patient acquisition performance by integrating paid media, organic search, and referral-channel data in partnership with business development and operations stakeholders.
  • Manage UTM governance, conversion tracking standards, and data quality processes.
  • Collaborate with business development and operations teams to create and maintain a comprehensive view of marketing performance across paid, organic, and referral channels, supporting data-driven decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Identify underperforming campaigns and provide data-driven recommendations for corrective action.
  • Maintain tracking, reporting, and marketing operations in accordance with HIPAA requirements and healthcare advertising regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience with demonstrated measurable results.
  • SEO / AEO / GEO: Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO, Google Search Console, schema markup/structured data, and the ability to demonstrate ranking improvements and organic growth.
  • Paid Media Advertising: Hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns (additional platforms a plus), including budget management, CPA optimization, performance analysis, and campaign optimization, (Meta, Reddit, programmatic a plus) with the ability to show what was changed and/or improved.
  • AI-Powered Marketing: Experience using generative AI tools to create marketing assets, including ad creative, AI-generated video/avatar content, AI-built landing pages, and high-velocity creative testing. Must be able to provide examples of work personally produced.
  • Marketing Management: Experience leading a small team or agency partners, budget ownership, and leadership of marketing initiatives.
  • Active, day-to-day experience using AI tools and workflows within a marketing environment with AI fluency.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM); experience with call-tracking platforms and CRM systems such as HubSpot is preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder transparency, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage priorities, drive projects forward, and work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Ads /Meta Blueprint certification; Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI search platforms with Semrush or Ahrefs fluency, programmatic or CTV exposure.
  • Experience with AI-powered creative tools, including video, image, and avatar generation platforms
