Paid Search, SEO & AI Marketing
Pacific Mind Health | Full-Time | Remote (U.S., Preferably in Pacific Time Zone)
Job Summary
Pacific Mind Health, one of Southern California's leading psychiatric practices, is bringing digital marketing in-house and building a high-performance growth function focused on measurable patient acquisition.
We're looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing Specialist who can execute, optimize, and scale our paid search, SEO, and AI-powered marketing initiatives. This is an opportunity to own meaningful marketing channels, work with real budgets, improve organic visibility and directly influence patient acquisition across services including TMS, Spravato®, psychiatry, and therapy.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. You'll work alongside an in-house content team, a dedicated web developer, and a business development manager who owns referral partnerships—allowing you to focus on digital channels, creative performance, and measurement.
If you're equally comfortable analyzing campaign performance, improving search rankings, building AI-powered creative, and testing new ideas, we'd like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Paid Search (Google Ads)
- Build, manage, and optimize campaigns across Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen for key service lines including TMS, Spravato®, psychiatry, and therapy.
- Own day-to-day campaign execution, including bid management, budget pacing, keyword expansion, negative keyword management, ad testing, and conversion optimization.
- Continuously improve cost per scheduled patient through landing page testing, audience refinement, and creative iteration.
- Ensure campaigns comply with Google's healthcare advertising policies and internal compliance requirements.
SEO & Organic Growth
- Execute on-page SEO initiatives across service and location pages, including metadata, headers, internal linking, structured data, and content optimization.
- Monitor search performance through Google Search Console and analytics tools, identifying indexing issues, ranking opportunities, and technical SEO improvements.
- Partner with content and development teams to implement SEO recommendations and improve organic visibility.
- Support Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives to improve brand visibility across AI-powered search experiences, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
AI-Powered Marketing
- Use AI tools to accelerate campaign creation, analysis, reporting, and optimization across marketing channels.
- Create AI-assisted advertising assets, including static creative, video content, and avatar-based ads using leading creative platforms.
- Build and test landing pages using modern AI-assisted development tools, collaborating closely with our web developer when needed.
- Run high-volume creative testing programs, rapidly evaluating and scaling winning concepts while retiring underperforming variants.
- Stay current with emerging AI marketing tools, workflows, and best practices, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
Tracking, Analytics & Reporting
- Maintain accurate conversion tracking, attribution, and reporting across GA4, Google Tag Manager, CallRail, HubSpot, and related platforms.
- Ensure reported performance aligns with actual call, form, and scheduled-patient outcomes.
- Prepare weekly performance reports with actionable insights, opportunities, and early identification of underperforming campaigns.
- Maintain tracking, reporting, and marketing operations in accordance with HIPAA requirements and healthcare advertising regulations.
- Ensure all marketing materials—including AI-generated content—meet compliance standards and avoid prohibited claims, testimonials, or simulated patient representations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience with demonstrated, measurable results.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO, Google Search Console, schema markup/structured data, and the ability to demonstrate ranking improvements and organic growth.
- Paid Media Advertising: Hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns (additional platforms a plus), including budget management, CPA optimization, performance analysis, and campaign optimization.
- AI-Powered Marketing: Experience using generative AI tools to create marketing assets, including ad creative, AI-generated video/avatar content, landing pages, and rapid creative testing. Must be able to provide examples of work personally produced.
- Active, day-to-day experience using AI tools and workflows within a marketing environment.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM); experience with call-tracking platforms and CRM systems such as HubSpot is preferred.
- Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage priorities effectively in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Ads certification; familiarity with Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI search platforms
- Experience with AI-powered creative tools, including video, image, and avatar generation platforms.
