Digital Marketing Specialist - Digital Advertising Sales

The Digital Sales Specialist is a results-driven, client-facing, professional responsible for selling digital advertising solutions and driving revenue through strategic digital advertising campaigns. This role involves identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, presenting digital ad products, crafting customized proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure campaign success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new digital advertising sales accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for digital advertising products, including display, search, social, video, and programmatic solutions.
  • Present, negotiate, and close digital advertising solutions tailored to client business goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients to understand objectives and positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations, production, engineering) to deliver on campaign commitments.
  • Serve as a digital solutions expert, maintaining in-depth knowledge of platform capabilities and industry trends.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide insights/recommendations to clients.
  • Provide regular sales forecasting and reporting to leadership.
  • Stay current with digital advertising trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital advertising sales and digital marketing (2–5+ years ideal).
  • Proven track record in developing full cycle client portfolio (prospecting, qualifying, closing, renewing)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels — display, search, social, email, multimedia advertising.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, ad platform dashboards).
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and campaigns.
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field (preferred but not required).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales platform tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting software.

Success Metrics

  • Revenue targets achieved — digital advertising product sales.
  • Number of qualified new accounts and campaign activations.
  • Client retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Effective collaboration and campaign delivery with internal teams.
