Summary Description:
Lyrasis is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist, reporting to the Creative Director, that works collaboratively to create and deliver strong digital engagement for Lyrasis and its sub-brands.
Lyrasis is strategically focused on content and scholarly communication, licensing, open access, community-supported software and hosting services, and eBooks and community engagement. This position works to disseminate information to more than 3,000 members and active users of Lyrasis services.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will work across the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team to deliver campaigns focused on social media, website performance, and user experience to advance Lyrasis and its 24+ solutions. This includes defining and working on digital marketing campaigns, including designing and creating digital content for Lyrasis' websites, social media channels, email marketing campaigns, collateral conferences, web assets and more.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy and calendar, coordinating across the entire organization and related platforms (e.g., Palace).
WebsiteUX Management: Lead the development of new web pages and maintenance of current webpages with a focus on data-driven design, analytics, and enhanced user experience.
Strategic Liaison: Serve as the primary MarComm liaison to one or more solutions teams for all marketing and communications needs.
Campaign Execution: Build and deploy digital content and messaging to build brand awareness and create engagement within the community.
AnalyticsReporting: Maintain and share traffic and engagement analytics in regular reporting shared across Lyrasis using Google Analytics and social platform tools.
Brand Consistency: Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure all digital assets maintain a cohesive Lyrasis brand and message.
Paid Media: Investigate and manage the expansion of paid social media and digital advertising.
Content Support: Help the Content Strategist develop and deliver digital content through newsletters, emails, blogs, and the website.
Digital Asset Management: Contribute to and maintain Canva repository and utilize design proficiency to produce effective digital visuals to complement campaigns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Fluency with social media management platforms (Hootsuite), CMS tools, and analytics (Google Analytics).
Understanding of web design principles, UX/UI best practices, and data-driven design.
Proficiency in digital design tools such as Canva and Figma; basic skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop) for digital asset creation or adjustment.
Experience managing professional social media accounts and digital marketing campaigns.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Background in non-profits and/or libraries is preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferably in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field
Two + years professional marketing, communications or design experience

Physical Demands:
This position is fully remote and requires sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Incumbent must be able to meet and communicate regularly via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and/or other teleconferencing means.
While this position is 100% remote, it requires occasional travel to Lyrasis company events and in-person professional development, meetings and/or conferences.
