Digital Marketing Strategist

Possibly the most operational marketing role in B2B media

Let’s skip the corporate fluff.

We run a B2B podcast agency that helps executives become category authorities through owned media. This isn’t about posting content—it’s about building visibility that actually drives inbound and deals.

We’re a small, fast-growing team working with founders, operators, and enterprise clients who care about reputation, positioning, and performance.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Client account management
  • Marketing strategy & performance
  • Content production collaboration

If you like keeping things organized, understanding what’s working, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, you’ll like this.

Let’s get the reality out of the way:

This is not a creative role
This is not a passive role
This is not a “wait for instructions” role

You will:

  • Work with clients directly
  • Be expected to stay on top of multiple moving pieces
  • Translate between strategy, execution, and communication

Some days will feel messy.
Some things won’t be fully defined.

If you need everything spelled out step-by-step, this will feel frustrating.

What you’ll get:

You’ll learn how real marketing works (not surface-level social)
You’ll see how content drives pipeline—not just engagement
You’ll work directly with leadership
You’ll understand how strategy connects to execution and reporting
You’ll build operational and client-facing skills quickly

If you’re good, this can grow into a much bigger role.

What you’ll actually be doing:

In simple terms:
Keep client work moving and make sure marketing efforts are measurable and organized.

That includes:

Client Account Management

  • Serve as point of contact for assigned clients
  • Run or support client check-ins and follow-ups
  • Track deliverables, timelines, and next steps
  • Coordinate with internal team (producers, editors, strategists)
  • Maintain clear, organized records of client activity
  • Flag risks, delays, or gaps before they become problems
  • Ensure clients always know what’s happening

Digital Marketing Execution

SEO & Content Support

  • Conduct keyword research aligned with client goals
  • Support optimization of content (blogs, pages, show content)
  • Identify opportunities to improve search visibility

Analytics & Reporting

  • Support GA4 tracking and accuracy
  • Help build and maintain reporting dashboards
  • Monitor performance (traffic, engagement, conversions)
  • Turn data into clear, simple summaries

Marketing Operations

  • Support campaign execution
  • Maintain CRM and data hygiene
  • Ensure content, distribution, and tracking are aligned

Content & Production Collaboration

You'll work closely with our producers, editors, and post-production team to ensure client content moves smoothly from strategy to delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with producers and internal teams to keep content initiatives aligned with client goals
  • Participate in content planning and episode strategy discussions
  • Help bridge communication between clients, marketing, and production teams
  • Understand podcast and content production workflows well enough to identify risks, bottlenecks, or opportunities
  • Ensure production efforts support broader marketing and business objectives

What success looks like (first 90 days):

  • Clients feel informed and never have to chase for updates
  • Accounts are organized, tracked, and moving forward
  • Reporting is accurate, clear, and consistent
  • SEO and content initiatives are progressing
  • Internal team has clarity on priorities and next steps
  • Leadership has visibility into performance

What we’re looking for:

You get satisfaction from keeping things organized and moving
You communicate clearly and follow through
You’re comfortable working with data (or willing to learn quickly)
You can manage multiple priorities without dropping things
You don’t wait—you move things forward

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years experience in digital marketing, agency account management, or similar
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working with clients and creative/production teams
  • Familiarity with SEO, analytics, content strategy, or performance marketing

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working directly with podcast, video, or content production teams
  • Understanding of content production workflows from planning through publication

Tools you’ll likely touch:

  • Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Google Workspace
  • Project management tools (Teamwork, Asana, ClickUp, etc.)
  • SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.)
  • CRM (HubSpot or similar)

Compensation & Structure:

  • Hybrid
  • Full-time
  • Compensation based on experience

Final note:

We can teach tools and tactics.

We can’t teach:

  • Ownership
  • Follow-through
  • Clear thinking

If you like making things run smoothly, understanding performance, and being trusted with real responsibility—this role will be a good fit.
