We are seeking a highly creative, hands-on marketing professional to lead digital student recruitment efforts for our K-12 online academy while also supporting family engagement and student retention/re-enrollment initiatives. This role is responsible for building awareness, generating qualified inquiries, strengthening family connections, and supporting enrollment growth through strategic and day-to-day execution across digital marketing, school communications, virtual events, video production, and campaign analytics. The ideal candidate is both a strategist and a doer—someone who can develop compelling campaigns and personally create, launch, optimize, and report on them.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns designed to recruit new students in grades K-12 for the online academy.
· Own the day-to-day management of digital marketing channels, including paid search, display, retargeting, email, and organic and paid social media.
· Plan, launch, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns to drive high-quality traffic, inquiries, and completed applications.
· Create, manage, and optimize Facebook and Instagram campaigns, including audience targeting, creative testing, budget allocation, and conversion tracking.
· Build and maintain a strong social media presence that reflects the academy’s voice, values, and culture while increasing engagement with prospective students and families.
· Plan, launch, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, YouTube, Meta/Facebook and Instagram, and Vibe to drive awareness, inquiries, and completed applications through search, video, social, and streaming TV advertising.
· Concept, script, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form video content for ads, social media, landing pages, testimonials, virtual events, and recruitment campaigns.
· Coordinate photo, video, and storytelling projects that showcase student outcomes, academic offerings, school community, flexibility, and online learning experience.
· Write and edit clear, persuasive marketing copy for ads, emails, website pages, landing pages, brochures, and social content.
· Collaborate with admissions, leadership, and academic teams to align messaging, campaigns, follow-up efforts, and enrollment priorities.
· Own family engagement and student retention/re-enrollment efforts by helping design and execute outreach strategies that keep current families informed, connected, and committed to returning.
· Plan and coordinate family-facing engagement activities such as provider fairs, virtual open houses, information sessions, and similar events that support recruitment, retention, and community connection.
· Lead and manage school communications for prospective and current families, including newsletters, announcements, promotional emails, and related messaging that support enrollment and engagement goals.
· Monitor campaign performance and key funnel metrics such as reach, click-through rate, cost per lead, inquiry-to-application conversion, and enrollment conversion.
· Use analytics and data insights to test, refine, and improve campaign performance, creative assets, targeting strategies, and marketing spending.
· Manage marketing calendars, campaign timelines, vendors, and production schedules to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
· Stay current on trends and platform changes in digital marketing, social media, online education, and family decision-making behavior.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
· 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, demand generation, enrollment marketing, or a similar performance-driven role.
· Demonstrated expertise in Google Ads, YouTube, Meta/Facebook Ads Manager, social media management, and campaign optimization.
· Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, creative development, and video production/editing.
· Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, and platform reporting dashboards to measure performance and guide decisions.
· Experience developing family-facing communications, engagement campaigns, events, or retention initiatives, ideally in a school, academy, or enrollment-focused setting.
· Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
· Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.
· Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment while also partnering cross-functionally with internal teams.
Preferred Experience
· Experience marketing for a school, online academy, education organization, EdTech company, or student recruitment/admissions team.
· Understanding of how families evaluate K-12 school options and the drivers behind enrollment decisions.
· Experience producing student stories, testimonial videos, virtual tours, or enrollment event promotion.
· Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, marketing automation, lead nurturing, and admissions funnel management.
· Experience supporting family engagement, student persistence, re-enrollment campaigns, or school community-building efforts is strongly preferred.
· Familiarity with brand-building as well as direct-response marketing tactics.
What Success Looks Like
· Growth in qualified inquiries, applications, and enrolled students.
· Improved return on ad spend and lower cost per lead across digital channels.
· Consistent, engaging social media content that strengthens the academy’s brand presence.
· High-performing video and creative assets that increase family engagement and conversion.
· Clear reporting and continuous optimization based on measurable results.
