Digital Media Creative Specialist

Role Overview:

Seattle Chocolate Company is looking for a creative designer who is able to drive consumer engagement by designing, producing, and managing multimedia and print content, such as ads, graphics, videos, social media campaigns, and collateral across all platforms for the company's 2 brands, Maeve and jcoco.

This role sits at the intersection of idea generation, design, and culture. You’ll conceive and create content that lives across all platforms, from quick-hit posts to larger campaign moments, and blend artistic skills with marketing strategy, using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and Canva to create original designs.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Brand Voice & Creative Strategy

  • Work with Creative Director to set and follow social strategy, thinking creatively about new ways to tell our story and reach new consumers.
  • Maintain Maeve’s brand voice and attitude throughout all work.
  • Adopt jcoco’s brand persona and voice throughout all jcoco content work.

Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Work with team to develop creative seasonal campaigns for social and print platforms to connect with our follower base and increase engagement.
  • Be equally comfortable with coming up with the idea, as the ability to visually execute it.
  • Maintain social media calendars and community management for both brands using tools like Later, utilizing best practices for posting. Platforms include YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, and LinkedIn.
  • Create social media design assets using Canva or similar tools (i.e. memes and story).
  • Grow follower base and engagement rates across social platforms.
  • Run weekly social media meetings.

Campaigns, Content Creation & Video Production

  • Work with the creative team to conceive and create compelling video ad campaigns that will drive awareness and eCommerce conversion.
  • Pitch timely and relevant video ideas weekly to keep us ahead of trends, gain exposure, and tell our brand stories.
  • Turn around short-form videos at a quick pace.
  • Support video content including email, sales tools, internal videos, event coverage, interviews, etc.
  • Film in the office and chocolate factory, and produce off-site shoots when necessary.
  • Create videos from start to finish, adding details like trending audio, subtitles, resizing across platforms, etc.

Analytics & Performance Reporting

  • Analyze and report on key metrics on a quarterly/seasonal basis.
  • Analyze and report on video success, providing takeaways for future content.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
