JOB TITLE: Digital Media Engagement Specialist

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred; Preferred fields of study: communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related fields. Experience in education or a nonprofit organization preferred. Demonstrated success in developing social media strategies that drive engagement and audience growth.
Skills: The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in managing major
social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as experience with social media management tools. They should demonstrate a strong understanding of analytics and native platform insights to measure performance and refine strategies. Exceptional written and visual storytelling skills are essential, including expertise in crafting engaging copy and basic graphic design. The candidate should be well-versed in current social media trends, best practices, and digital communication strategies, and exhibit excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively. A collaborative mindset is vital, as is a commitment to professionalism and upholding the district's mission, values and branding in all online interactions.
SUMMARY: The Digital Media Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the district's social media strategy to enhance online presence, foster engagement, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, and the community. This individual will manage content creation, scheduling, and analytics for all district social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the district's communication goals and brand standards

Support the implementation and day-to-day execution of the district social media plan aligned with district communication and community engagement goals.

Generate original content, including text, images, videos, and graphics, while curating and repurposing materials from various district departments and schools.

Collaborate with departments, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding across platforms.

Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner to foster positive relationships with the community.

Stay informed about emerging social media trends and adapt strategies as needed.

Train and support staff on best practices for social media use, as needed.

Oversee a team of student content creators by providing training in storytelling, social media best practices, video production, and brand consistency; help students develop their creative skills while generating high-quality content that engages younger audiences.

Oversee and manage the district's e-flyer distribution system, ensuring compliance with district guidelines and timely communication.

Assist in developing and executing a strategy for site-specific community partnerships aligned with campus needs.

Help coordinate Engage BA participation at the campus level, including business involvement, volunteers, donations, and experiential learning opportunities.

Assist in the development and maintenance of a database of community partners, tracking engagement, contributions, and outcomes.

Assist with partner recognition efforts through events and digital content.

Assist with communication, coordination, and engagement efforts involving key stakeholder groups, including PTA, the Broken Arrow Public Schools Foundation, and the Alumni Association.

Help identify storytelling opportunities that highlight alumni success and involvement.

Assist in planning, promotion, and execution of district and community events related to engagement, partnerships, and recognition.

Appear on-camera in ArrowVision stories, promotional videos, etc.

Support the athletic department with other tasks as needed, including photo shoot production, event coordination, and promotional activities.

Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL BEHAVIOR:

Ability to project a professional company image through in-person, phone, and electronic interaction. Ability to build and foster harmonious rapport and work cooperatively with District staff and the public while achieving the objectives and goals of the position. Ability to handle problematic and/or difficult situations professionally by communicating with the appropriate person.
ATTENDANCE STATEMENT:
Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Primarily inside working conditions with occasional exposure to outside environmental conditions at district outdoor events.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Manual dexterity required to operate video production equipment with proficiency including cameras, switchers, computers, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively via verbal and written communication. Walking as required to access equipment and perform responsibilities.
