Digital Operations and Marketing Lead

Full-Time | Axolotl Arms – Louisville, KY

Axolotl Arms is seeking a detail-driven and versatile Digital Operations and Marketing Lead to support both our online presence and retail operations. This role combines digital marketing, website management, firearms compliance tasks, and occasional sales floor assistance, making it ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a firearm retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Operations & Marketing (Primary Duties)

  • Plan, create, and optimize email marketing campaigns and automated flows.
  • Manage social media content, scheduling, engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Photograph firearms and accessories, edit images, and build polished product listings.
  • Maintain online inventory accuracy, pricing, categories, and new product uploads.
  • Support website merchandising, promotions, and online order workflow.
  • Monitor analytics and generate performance reports for marketing and website traffic.
  • Assist with digital advertising, SEO efforts, and local marketing initiatives.

Retail Operations Support (Secondary Duties)

  • Support the Retail Operations Lead with basic compliance tasks when requested (e.g., simple bound book entries, checking for complete information on 4473s, etc.).
  • Maintain safe firearm handling procedures while photographing or processing inventory.
  • Assist on the retail sales floor during busy periods, providing customer service and basic sales support.
  • Flex between digital responsibilities and retail tasks to help the team when workload shifts.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ and legally able to handle firearms.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict compliance procedures.
  • Solid writing, communication, and computer skills.
  • Photography and basic photo-editing experience.
  • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with firearms and learning compliance processes (training provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some post–high school education, certifications, or technical training.
  • Experience in firearm retail, ATF compliance, or e-commerce operations.
  • Background in digital marketing, content creation, or brand management.
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce, Mailchimp, or other digital ad platforms.

Pay: From $720.00 per week
