Digital Platform Manager

We are seeking a collaborative, user-centered, and strategically minded Digital Platform Manager to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of our customer-facing and internal digital platforms. The successful candidate will partner with product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define platform roadmaps, ensure reliable platform operations, and deliver scalable solutions that drive excellent user experiences and measurable business outcomes. This role requires strong technical fluency, outstanding stakeholder management, and experience managing platform initiatives, integrations, and operational excellence in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities - Digital Platform

  • Define and lead the platform strategy in collaboration with product, engineering, design, and business partners to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and customer needs.

  • Own end-to-end delivery of platform initiatives: translate business requirements into platform solutions, prioritize work, scope projects, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features, integrations, and platform services.

  • Manage platform reliability, performance, and observability: define SLOs/SLAs, implement monitoring and alerting, and lead incident response and post-incident reviews to continuously improve availability and user experience.

  • Design and maintain scalable, secure integrations and APIs that enable internal and external products to interact with platform capabilities; partner with engineering to ensure consistent documentation and developer experience.

  • Drive platform governance and standards: establish best practices for architecture, security, access control, and change management to reduce technical debt and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

  • Define success metrics for platform investments, instrument tracking, and use quantitative and qualitative feedback to inform prioritization, experiments, and roadmap decisions.

  • Develop and maintain platform dashboards, runbooks, and operational playbooks that surface health indicators, usage patterns, and enable effective troubleshooting across teams.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow cross-functional platform teams or contractors; cultivate collaboration across product, design, and engineering to foster reliable delivery and strong developer experience.

  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and stakeholder briefings to align priorities, define integration requirements, and translate technical constraints into clear, actionable plans.

  • Manage relationships with third-party platform vendors, cloud providers, and integration partners; define scopes of work, acceptance criteria, and evaluate vendor deliverables against outcomes.

  • Champion privacy, security, and ethical use of platform capabilities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Required Qualifications - Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Product Management, or equivalent practical experience).

  • 5+ years of experience managing digital platforms, technical product management, or platform engineering-adjacent roles, including experience leading cross-functional teams or mentoring practitioners.

  • Proven ability to translate business problems into platform solutions: define technical requirements, design integrations, and synthesize tradeoffs into clear recommendations.

  • Strong technical fluency with cloud platforms, APIs, identity/access management, and modern application architectures; able to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

  • Experience defining and tracking platform metrics, building dashboards, and using data to inform prioritization and measure impact.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing governance, security, and change-management practices to maintain platform stability and compliance.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; experienced presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and running cross-functional workshops.

  • Comfortable using experimentation, telemetry, and user feedback to iterate on platform capabilities and improve developer and end-user experience.

Preferred Qualifications - Domain & Tools

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and platform services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and managed services for identity, messaging, and API gateways.

  • Familiarity with API design standards (OpenAPI), integration patterns, microservice architectures, and developer experience tooling (SDKs, CLI, docs portals).

  • Experience with observability and SRE practices (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Understanding of data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOC2) and experience operationalizing controls for platform services.

  • Prior experience managing vendor relationships, SaaS platform evaluations, and proof-of-concept implementations.

  • Advanced degree, relevant certifications, or trainings in cloud architecture, security, or platform management are a plus.

Work Environment & Compensation
  • Full-time role within a collaborative, cross-functional platform and product organization; onsite presence is expected with flexible scheduling options as appropriate.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience, including health coverage, retirement plan options, paid time off, and professional development support.

  • Opportunities for training, certifications, and career progression in an inclusive and mission-driven organization.

  • We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and foster a respectful work environment that supports work-life balance and employee well-being.
