Digital Pre-press Layout Designer

We are currently searching for an experienced, detail-oriented and responsible Pre-Press Layout Designer to join our team.

Position Description:
Primary responsibility will be receiving client-supplied digital art files and preparing them for digital and/or offset printing. In addition, this position will be tasked with maintaining quality results by proofing and pre-flighting layouts, including required fields, fonts, links and callouts; confirming design printability, including traps, overprints, and minimum half-tones, dots and line weights; maintaining consistent appearance and standards across projects; adhering to make-up and layout standards.

Position Requirements:

• Extensive Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily InDesign. Illustrator and Photoshop) required.
• 1 year of Digital Print experience (preferred)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with variable printing a plus.
• Extensive Experience with handling digital files in a variety of formats.
• Ability to proofread and identify mistakes and offer suggestions for spelling and grammatical corrections.
• Ability to think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts for both internal and client purposes.
• Have a basic knowledge of paper stocks, weights, and finishes.
• Management of creative workflow and/or creative personnel a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Understanding of USPS postal regulations as they relate to piece dimensions and layout a plus.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Salary: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
