Graphic Business Solutions (GBS) is seeking an ambitious and self-driven Digital Production Designer II to join our team!

A Digital Production Designer II at Graphic Business Solutions (GBS) will have a keen eye for detail and the technical know-how to get the job done. This role requires strong layout skills, organizational, and prioritization abilities, and excellent file-categorizing prowess to ensure artwork is production-ready and projects are completed on time. The Digital Production Designer II will work alongside their cohorts in a team environment to prioritize quality over quantity, with a focus on exceptional design quality that meets industry printing and ISO standards, particularly within PDF workflows. We’re looking for a troubleshooting expert and process champion who communicates clearly with an outstanding, design-first "Designgineer" who pairs craft with build-aware thinking.

Essential Responsibilities and Characteristics of this Position include the Following:

• Design and manage custom templates for client-specific needs.
• Oversee MBS/Classic Utility management, ensuring processes run smoothly.
• Understand and effectively use:
• Adobe Creative Suite and Customer's Canvas for creating art
• Esko Phoenix for managing production workflows
• Callas PDFToolBox, and Enfocus PitStop Pro for pre-flighting print files
• Fiery Command Workstation for print file queuing and applying presets to incoming print files
• Troubleshoot workflow and process issues with technical proficiency.
• Adhere to standard printing specifications for bleed, trim, and safe margins.
• Demonstrate a keen eye and attention to detail.
• Assist the marketing team in producing print, packaging, advertising, and digital graphics.
• Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with efficiency.
• Prioritize quality over quantity; ensure brand consistency in every project.
• Review and proof orders before customer approval.
• Follow defined workflows and timelines to ensure efficient order progression.
• Exhibit a good attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Work well in a team environment, contributing to team goals.

Requirements:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience or equivalent in digital production roles, with experience suited to a $50M+ business.
• Values-driven, with strengths in accountability, collaboration, integrity, respect, trust, and a dedication to growth and excellence.
• Passion for learning new technologies and advancing professional growth.
• Flexible availability for work schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to type 40 WPM with 90% accuracy.
• Capability to lift 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to participate and contribute effectively to meetings.
