Digital Retoucher/Graphic Designer

Retouchers employed at Candid Color Systems must be able to adapt to a seasonal working environment, with weekly hours dictated by the workflow of the lab. You will perform specific task within the set boundaries of each job. This position is production-line retouching with strict guidelines for task.

Retouchers work with digital photography. They use photograph editing software to the specifications and standards set by Candid Color Systems. The retouching process can also consist of adding or removing objects from an image or inserting text.

Photo retouchers need to have an eye for art and composition as they relate to what's typically desirable in a photographic image. It is necessary for photograph retouchers to understand the components of visual art and the elements of photography.

Needs to be able to see color to adjust images.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Retouch a high volume of product photos on a daily basis
• Retouches high quality images for print and cross functional use
• Follows required build structure and methodologies while working with the team to develop new solutions
• Performs a variety of highly skilled creative and executional retouching assignments
• With limited guidance, prioritizes and executes responsibilities efficiently; checks own work and possibly the work of others; Output must meet the highest quality standards
• Maintain the highest level of quality control of images for accuracy and completeness.
• Provides technical/process guidance to coworkers within own work group
• Trains employees on a variety of technical skills and occasionally assists those with problem-solving and administrative procedures
• Photoshop experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
