Job Description

Sunderstorm is leading the technology charge in cannabis, one of the most exciting and challenging industries today. We are expanding both domestically and internationally, and reliable digital systems are critical to our growth. We are seeking a Digital Systems & Web Performance Manager to join the Data Science & Engineering team, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Data Science, to own the technical execution behind Kanha Life's websites, CRM systems, attribution, and performance infrastructure.

As a Digital Systems & Web Performance Manager, you will partner closely with marketing, e-commerce, product, design, paid media partners, and engineering to turn approved campaign plans into accurate, measurable, high-performing digital experiences. Marketing owns strategy, messaging, offers, creative direction, and the campaign calendar; this role owns the implementation, tracking, QA, reporting, and technical performance required to make those plans work.

This role is ideal for a hands-on operator who can move between Shopify/CMS updates, Klaviyo execution, GA4/GTM, UTM governance, first-party attribution, technical SEO, landing pages, A/B testing, and analytics troubleshooting. The right person will not set the marketing calendar, but will pressure-test requests, chase missing inputs, flag risks, and make sure Kanha Life's digital execution is clean, timely, and performance-driven.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical execution and day-to-day performance of Kanha Life digital properties, including Shopify/CMS updates, landing pages, PDP changes, offers, QA, and launch readiness.
  • Implement and maintain GA4, GTM, server-side tracking, pixels/conversion APIs, UTMs, first-party data events, and attribution QA across paid, owned, affiliate, QR, email/SMS, and site traffic.
  • Maintain reporting hierarchy and measurement discipline, reconciling Shopify/ERP revenue as source of truth with GA4/Triple Whale and other directional sources for trends, behavior, and campaign performance.
  • Build, update, and QA Klaviyo execution, including flow logic, segmentation, Shopify/Loop event triggers, deliverability mechanics, list hygiene, sunset logic, and subscription reactivation workflows.
  • Translate approved campaign briefs into shippable digital requirements; identify missing assets, unclear logic, broken tracking, or customer-experience risks before launch.
  • Own landing-page and offer implementation, including page builds, content placement, promo code/link setup, tracking validation, mobile/desktop QA, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Execute CRO and A/B testing initiatives by setting up experiments, instrumenting events, monitoring funnels, documenting results, and recommending data-backed optimization opportunities.
  • Own technical SEO implementation, including schema/JSON-LD, metadata, header hierarchy, PDP/site structure, internal linking, site links, page performance, and implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Support Shopify/Liquid/CMS initiatives by writing technical requirements, managing developers through delivery, reviewing and adjusting implementation details when needed, coordinating deployment, and validating that site changes are accurate, performant, and properly tracked.
  • Produce recurring readouts on conversion, landing page performance, attribution, ad performance measurement, lifecycle performance, cohort/LTV trends, and subscription health.
  • Partner with marketing, paid media agencies, design, product, and engineering teams to ensure launches are measurable, operationally reliable, and aligned with approved business priorities.
  • Create and enforce naming conventions, UTM governance, QA checklists, documentation, and SOPs for recurring digital launches, tests, reporting, and platform workflows.
  • Stay current with e-commerce, Shopify, Klaviyo, web analytics, privacy-safe attribution, technical SEO, and CRO best practices; proactively recommend improvements that increase speed, accuracy, and digital performance.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in web operations, e-commerce operations, digital systems, web analytics, CRO, technical growth, or a similar hands-on execution role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, E-commerce, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or comparable CMS/e-commerce platforms; familiarity with HTML, CSS, Liquid, checkout/offer configuration, and platform QA strongly preferred.
  • Strong practical knowledge of GA4, GTM, UTMs, pixels/conversion APIs, server-side or privacy-safe tracking, event taxonomy, attribution QA, and first-party data concepts.
  • Experience with Klaviyo or comparable CRM/lifecycle platforms, including flow logic, segmentation, event triggers, list hygiene, deliverability, QA, and performance reporting.
  • Experience executing CRO, A/B testing, landing-page optimization, technical SEO implementation, funnel analysis, and web performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with Shopify reports, GA4, Triple Whale or similar attribution tools, Excel/Google Sheets, Tableau/Looker, and SQL or BI partners.
  • Strong project management, QA, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills; ability to chase ambiguous inputs and drive launches through ambiguity. Cannabis, DTC/CPG, regulated industry, and subscription experience a plus.

The hiring range for this position in California is $80,000-$100,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
