Digital Travel Sales Consultant | Travel Consultant

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Digital Travel Sales Consultant is responsible for growing the agency's revenue by converting leads generated through digital platforms — including the company website, social media, OTAs, email campaigns, and paid ads — into confirmed bookings. This role bridges the gap between digital marketing efforts and the consultative travel sales process, ensuring every digital touch point translates into meaningful customer relationships and measurable business outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Sales & Conversion

  • Manage and convert inbound leads from the company website, social media channels, WhatsApp Business, and email campaigns into confirmed travel bookings.
  • Respond promptly to digital inquiries across all platforms, ensuring fast response times and high-quality consultations.
  • Prepare tailored travel proposals and itineraries using CRM and booking tools.
  • Achieve monthly digital sales targets and conversion KPIs set by management.

Platform Management & Optimization

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align digital campaigns with sales capacity and seasonal inventory.
  • Monitor and manage listings on Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb.
  • Provide real-time feedback on digital campaign performance — what converts, what doesn't, and why.
  • Actively participate in upselling and cross-selling within the digital customer journey.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with digital customers to drive repeat bookings and referrals.
  • Manage the post-booking communication cycle — confirmations, pre-departure briefs, and post-trip follow-ups.
  • Resolve booking queries, complaints, or changes efficiently with a customer-first mindset.
  • Maintain and update CRM records with accurate lead and customer data.

Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Track personal conversion rates, revenue per lead, and digital sales pipeline metrics.
  • Share competitive insights on pricing trends, popular destinations, and emerging travel demand.
  • Contribute to weekly/monthly sales reporting for management review.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in travel sales, with at least 1–2 years in a digital or e-commerce sales environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding digital sales targets.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive or similar).
  • Familiarity with GDS platforms (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre) is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable working across digital channels: social media DMs, live chat, email, and video calls.
  • Understanding of OTA platforms and digital booking funnels.
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing metrics (CTR, CPL, ROAS) to align with marketing team.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong persuasion and consultative selling abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Empathy and genuine passion for creating memorable travel experiences.
