We are a growing café chain focused on delivering high-quality products and creating memorable customer experiences. As we expand, we’re looking for a data-driven, creative marketing specialist to help us maximize our digital presence, paid advertising performance, and customer engagement.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Independent Marketing Specialist to develop, execute, and optimize our digital marketing efforts. The ideal candidate understands social media analytics, paid ad strategy, email marketing, and website management — and knows how to tie performance data directly to campaign decisions and ROI.

This is a contract position with flexibility, but requires consistent reporting and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Advertising & Analytics

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid ad campaigns across platforms such as:
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram Ads)
  • Google (Google Ads & Display)
  • Track and analyze campaign performance
  • Use data insights to adjust targeting, creative, budget allocation, and retargeting strategies
  • Provide monthly ROI and performance reports
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies tied to store-level performance

Social Media Strategy

  • Analyze engagement metrics and growth trends
  • Optimize organic + paid social strategies
  • Recommend content direction based on data

Email Marketing

  • Create and execute email campaigns and promotional flows
  • Build segmented lists
  • Track open rates, conversions, and customer retention metrics
  • Integrate email campaigns with ad strategy

Website Management

  • Manage website updates, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and landing pages
  • Optimize for conversions and local SEO
  • Coordinate tracking tools (pixels, analytics, etc.)
  • Ensure website messaging aligns with paid campaigns

Data & Strategy Integration

  • Connect POS/customer data with marketing campaigns
  • Identify trends and customer behaviors
  • Recommend strategic improvements based on measurable results

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience (hospitality/restaurant industry preferred)
  • Proven experience managing paid ads with measurable ROI
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.)
  • Website CMS experience (WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, or similar)
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

Compensation

  • Competitive contract rate (hourly or monthly retainer based on experience)
  • Performance-based incentives may be considered
