Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in a assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Duties

• Assist in meal preparation and presentation according to dietary guidelines.
• Sanitate kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Bussing tables and serving meals to residents or patients in a timely manner.
• Help with inventory management by organizing food supplies and reporting shortages.
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure all meals meet health regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietary department staff to provide exceptional service and support.
• Engage with residents or patients during meal times to enhance their dining experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in a hospital or assisted living kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and dietary practices is an asset.
• Experience in meal preparation or working within a dietary department is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential.
• A passion for helping others and contributing to their well-being through nutrition is highly valued.
