Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Diploma Associate Engineer to support the assembly, wiring, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of AC EV chargers. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills in electrical systems and PCB handling, who is interested in building a career in EV charging and clean energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assembly & Manufacturing Support
- Assemble EV chargers using outsourced metal enclosures as per company specifications
- Perform PCB soldering and internal wiring
- Integrate PCBs with electrical components including:
- MCBs, RCCBs, surge protection devices
- Contactors, relays, and wiring harnesses
- Install and align LCD/display units, gaskets, seals, and mechanical fittings
- Ensure proper earthing, insulation, and cable management
2. Testing & Quality Checks
- Conduct electrical tests including continuity, insulation, voltage, and load testing
- Verify charger functionality prior to dispatch
- Identify and rectify assembly or wiring-related faults
- Support basic QC documentation and test checklists
3. Installation & Commissioning
- Install EV chargers at commercial, fleet, and residential sites
- Coordinate with civil and electrical teams during on-site work
- Perform commissioning, functional testing, and safety validation
- Support basic customer handover and usage guidance
4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair issues related to:
- Power and protection systems
- Display or basic communication faults
- PCB or component-level failures (under guidance)
- Support field maintenance and warranty cases
- Replace faulty components and re-test units
5. Documentation & Technical Support
- Maintain basic assembly, testing, and installation records
- Report recurring faults and suggest design or process improvements
- Assist senior engineers with product iterations and upgrades
Required Qualifications
- DAE (Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics)
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant hands-on experience
- Fresh candidates with strong practical skills may also apply
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of AC electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with:
- PCB soldering and wiring
- Electrical panels, breakers, and surge protection
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and earthing practices
- Comfortable working in both workshop and field environments
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with EV chargers, solar inverters, UPS systems, or industrial panels
- Familiarity with IP-rated enclosures (IP65 preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking or IoT-enabled devices
- Motorcycle or willingness to travel within the city
