Position SummaryPerforms advanced managerial work providing direction, supervision, and guidance to the Budget and Finance Department. Work includes establishing goals and objectives, developing, reviewing, and implementing department policies, procedures and guidelines. Oversees complex financial analysis, agency budget functions and internal/external financial reporting. Establishes the review, determination, reporting, and analysis of cost savings. Analyzes expenditure and revenue trends. Advises and recommends appropriate actions to the Senior Director of Budget, Payroll, and General Ledger Accounting, Chief Financial Officer, and other members of management. Communicates with external oversight stakeholders including the Office of the Governor and Legislature. The Director of Budget and Finance is a direct report to the Senior Director of Budget, Payroll, and General Ledger Accounting and works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
