About the Role
Reporting to the SVP Human Resource and CHRO, this position plays a critical role within the HR team in driving business success. The right individual will have an extensive HR Business Partnering background and thrive in setting a strategy and driving the execution. This position will provide HR support to a number of functions across Commercial and Corporate teams. The position works cross functionally to build partnerships and deliver results that support the organizational and functional objectives of the business.
The Director, HRBP works within the HR department at the commercial headquarters located in Princeton, NJ and will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely, unless otherwise required by business priorities or travel.
Responsibilities
- HR Business Partnering:
- Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and managers, providing guidance and insights that drive organizational and people‑related outcomes.
- Collaborates across the HR Team and broader business to develop and deploy HR strategies that align with the organization’s business goals and objectives
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the business remains competitive i with HR practices
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on HR matters, providing guidance and support on employee relations issues
- Implement and maintain effective employee relations programs and initiatives
- Serve as an unbiased resource for management and employees, specifically with regards to conflict resolution
- Lead key people processes for their supported population, including performance management, talent planning, comp cycles and other critical processes that drive organizational effectiveness
- Supports line managers in navigating critical conversations and if needed, implementing Performance Improvement Plans
- The Director, HRBP will partner with business leaders to design and optimize organizational structures, recommending and driving actions that enable the most effective organization
- Communications and Culture:
- Provide clear and concise communication on HR initiatives, policy updates, cultural initiatives, and HR operating procedures
- Create cross functional relationships with various teams, like IT and Finance, to facilitate collaboration between departments, enabling change
- HR Technology:
- Support the ongoing use of the Oracle HRIS system and other various HR related systems, including the process of keeping relevant data current and drive efficiencies
- Proactively identify and evaluate technologies and AI‑driven solutions to enhance HR capabilities, drive efficiencies, and support continuous innovation, achieved by maximizing existing tools or identifying and vetting new resources as needed.
- Talent Acquisition:
- Work with the talent acquisition team to recruit and identify the most qualified talents to support the needs of the business
- Onboard and support the orientation of new hires to the business in partnership with the manager
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Work in partnership with Total Rewards to ensure competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent
- Be well-versed in the available benefits and own leave administration process (parental leave, FMLA, STD, etc.) in order to support employees
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific regulations
- Stay informed of changes in labor laws and regulations that may impact the organization, and proactively communicate any needed changes to operating norms
- Have a bias for action with implementing regulatory or compliance corrections
- HR Projects
- The Director, HRBP will have opportunities to contribute to and lead key strategic projects and initiatives, assuming project leadership roles that align with their interests, strengths, and experience.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred, but not required)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within HR Business Partnering and one other core area of HR (Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, L&D, Benefits, etc.)
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical industry or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
- Up to 20% travel required for this role
The base salary range for this position is $180,000-$205,000; the exact salary depends on various factors such as experience, skills, education, location, competencies and industry-specific knowledge. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a competitive short term and long term incentive program based on performance and company results.
