Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes or concerns
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
• Support residents with meal preparation, cooking, and nutritional needs while maintaining cleanliness in the living environment
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe transfers and heavy lifting when necessary
• Document observations, care provided, and updates in accordance with HIPAA standards and care plans
• Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Skills

• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care needs
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures to ensure safety at all times
• Familiarity with assisted living environments, nursing homes, hospice care, or home & community care settings
• Ability to perform patient observation accurately and report findings clearly to healthcare teams
• Strong skills in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to care plans
• Capable of performing light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
• Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
