Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated *Direct Support Professionals* to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, children, adults, seniors, and those requiring specialized assistance.

This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, implementing care plans, and promoting independence in a safe and respectful environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in home and community care settings, possess strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those served.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
  • Support clients during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
  • Assist with patient observation, monitoring behavioral changes, and reporting concerns promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness of living environments through light cleaning duties
  • Document care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and community integration
  • Respond effectively to emergencies by utilizing CPR and First Aid skills when necessary Qualifications
  • Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety awareness
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges

Experience working with individuals with autism or memory care needs is advantageous

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
