Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals are those who work every day in the home with the individuals we serve. They are compassionate, reliable, responsible, and want to make a positive impact in our individual’s lives. They strive to help our individuals with disabilities achieve independence on a daily basis. Previous experience is not required for this position. Medina Creative Accessibility will provide all of the initial and ongoing training.

We are looking for overnight staff.

Some of the tasks and responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional are:

· Ensure the health and safety of individuals at all times

· Attending community outings with individuals and transporting to and from

· Assist and teach meal preparation, household chores and other daily living skills

· Transportation to and from medical appointments

· Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting etc.

· Completing daily documentation

· Unusual Incident Reporting completed and communicated within expected timelines

· Other tasks assigned

As a Direct Support Professional, you must be able to meet the following requirements:

· Be 18 years of age

· Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with less than 6 points

· Provide proof of valid car insurance

· Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

· Pass a FBI/BCII Background screening
