Summary

As a Direct Support Professional at Community Careers and Support Services, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. This position involves providing personalized support and care, fostering independence, and facilitating participation in various activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
• Support clients in developing and achieving personal goals for independence.
• Monitor and document clients' progress, health, and well-being.
• Facilitate social interactions and community involvement for clients.
• Assist with personal care tasks including hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

Requirements

• Experience in patient care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of CPR and first aid is a plus.
• Patience and understanding when working with diverse populations.
