Direct Support Professional

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, offer emotional support, and ensure the well-being of our clients. This is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Duties
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in a residential setting
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Monitor and record patient behaviors and activities
- Help with patient hygiene tasks such as bathing and dressing
- Support patients in recreational activities and social interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for patients

Requirements
- 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques
- Ability to cook meals for individuals with specific dietary needs
- Proficient in patient monitoring, observation, and reporting
- Familiarity with direct support practices
- Capable of making sound decisions and remaining calm during a conflict or crisis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
