We are seeking dedicated and experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our compassionate team. Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 15-20+ hours per week
• Day shifts currently available

Shifts Available:

10AM-3PM (M-F)

3PM-8PM (M-F)

Position Overview
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities (DD/ID). Your role will be to encourage independence, promote inclusion, and ensure the highest level of respect and dignity for every individual served. DSPs work in clients’ homes and in the community—supporting daily living activities, transportation to appointments, and participation in meaningful activities that improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in achieving their goals outlined in their individualized service plans.
• Encourage and assist clients in participating in hobbies, recreational, and community-based activities.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and positive role modeling.
• Ensure client safety at all times and maintain a clean, supportive environment.
• Accurately document daily activities, progress, and any incidents in accordance with agency standards.
• Communicate effectively with the support team, including nurses, therapists, and supervisors.
• Uphold client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional or in a similar role.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to transport clients to appointments and community activities. REQUIRED.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to starting).
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and complete provider training/orientation.
• Patience, compassion, respect, and courtesy when supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in challenging situations.
• TOVA certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities.
• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or supported living environments.
• Familiarity with person-centered care principles and behavioral support strategies.
