We are seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in living independent, self-directed lives. DSPs provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, community engagement, and individualized care based on each person’s needs.
This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, dependable, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Support mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Assist with feeding when needed
Health & Safety Monitoring
- Observe and report changes in physical or behavioral health
- Administer medications (with proper training)
- Follow care plans and safety protocols
- Respond appropriately in emergencies
Individualized Care & Skill Development
- Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
- Document daily activities, goals, and progress
- Support development of life, communication, and social skills
Community Integration
- Support participation in community outings and activities
- Encourage independence in public settings
- Assist with recreational, educational, and vocational activities
Behavioral Support
- Implement behavior support plans
- Use positive reinforcement strategies
- De-escalate crisis situations professionally
Daily Living & Household Support
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs
- Assist with cleaning, laundry, and organization
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
Transportation
- Drive individuals to appointments, work, and activities
- Follow vehicle safety procedures
Documentation & Communication
- Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately
- Maintain confidentiality
- Communicate with team members, families, and supervisors
- Participate in meetings and trainings

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Medication Administration Certification
- Background check required

- Experience with emergency preparedness and infection control
