We are seeking reliable and motivated caregivers to support clients in their homes across the Twin Cities metro area. Our office is based in Bloomington, with flexible scheduling options available depending on your availability.
This role focuses on helping individuals maintain a clean, organized living space while supporting daily routines and independence. All services are delivered using a person-centered approach, meaning care is guided by each individual’s preferences, goals, and daily routines. Caregivers work collaboratively with clients to support their independence, respect their choices, and adapt services to fit their unique needs and lifestyles. The goal is not just to complete tasks, but to provide support in a way that promotes dignity, autonomy, and meaningful day-to-day living.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and general organization
- Support clients in maintaining daily routines and staying on schedule
- Run errands such as grocery shopping and picking up essentials
- Provide reminders and guidance to help clients stay organized and independent
- Accompany clients to community activities or appointments as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely service documentation
- Follow client support plans and agency guidelines
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience in patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and developing care plans
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist residents with mobility challenges
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required — training provided
- Previous caregiving, support, or customer service experience is a plus
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward others
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in different home environments
- Ability to follow instructions and support plans
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
