We are currently seeking FEMALE staff members ONLY to join our team in supporting a 22-year-old female who resides at home with her mother and siblings.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, responsible, and have dependable transportation. The individual enjoys going on community outings and car rides, and mileage reimbursement will be provided when using your personal vehicle for approved activities.

Please do not apply if your not willing to work every other Saturday!!

This position requires use of personal vehicle To take individual out on car rides! ( we offer Trip reimbursement) . Please don’t apply if you not willing to use your personal car!

Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care and behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. The DSP assists individuals in daily living activities, promotes independence, ensures health and safety, and implements behavior support strategies in accordance with Individual Service Plans (ISPs), Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and agency policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility assistance
  • Implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) consistently and professionally
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care strategies during behavioral episodes
  • Monitor, document, and report behavioral observations, triggers, and interventions
  • Support individuals in community integration, social skill development, and recreational activities
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment at all times
  • Accurately complete daily documentation, incident reports, and behavior logs
  • Follow all DODD, Medicaid, and agency policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect individual rights

Behavioral Support Responsibilities

  • Recognize early signs of escalation and respond using approved interventions
  • Redirect behaviors using positive reinforcement and person-centered approaches
  • Maintain professionalism during high-stress or crisis situations
  • Participate in behavioral trainings and ongoing skill development
  • Follow restrictive measures only as outlined and approved in the individual’s plan

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have 1–2 years of verifiable experience providing direct care to individuals with documented behavioral challenges
  • Experience with behavior management, crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care strongly preferred
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

** Family is seeking Female staff only due to toileting needs

The individual exhibits self-injurious behaviors, specifically hitting herself. She may display signs of aggression at times; however, she does not physically attack others. Staff will be responsible for closely monitoring her behavior and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure her safety and minimize the risk of self-harm.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
