Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Administer medications following care plans to ensure safety and compliance
• Support residents with meal preparation, cooking, and maintaining proper nutrition
• Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
• Document care activities accurately in resident records and update care plans regularly
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities, or autism

Requirements

• Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR and first aid
• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges with patience and empathy
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect resident confidentiality
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient safety oversight
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents’ families

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
