Direct Support Professional

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Duties

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed guidelines.
• Provide patient monitoring to assess health status and report any changes or concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that all areas are hygienic and organized.
• Support individuals in community integration activities, fostering social interaction and engagement.
• Assist with memory care techniques for clients experiencing cognitive challenges, including dementia care strategies.
• Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting care activities accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other caregivers to coordinate comprehensive support services.

Experience

• Previous experience in home community care, long-term care, or similar settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and the ability to implement care plans effectively.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• A background in nursing or related healthcare fields is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality support services.
