Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Male Direct Support Professional to join our dedicated team in Parma. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive the support needed to live fulfilling, independent lives. Client is an adult male. No behavioral issues

Like sports: basketball football etc. Going to gym. Does talk but needs encouragement. He is seeing a occuaptional therapist

Does not need restroom assistance

20 hours/week

Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri

2 pm - 6 pm or 3 pm - 7 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide patient monitoring and observation to ensure safety and well-being
• Document client progress and any changes in condition while adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Engage clients in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and independence
• Transport client into the community

Requirements

Must meet all Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
• Background in caregiving, home health, assisted living, or long-term care is advantageous.
• Up to date DSP certificate is required
• Up to date First Aid and CPR certificate is required.
• Familiarity with patient care techniques including heavy lifting and patient observation is essential.
• Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions as needed.
• Must be 18+ years old
• Must have reliable vehicle
• Valid drivers license and valid car insurance
• 5 point or less on driving record
• Must have High School Diploma/G.E.D or college transcripts
• Background check required
