Job Description:

Resilient Soul Home Care Inc. is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) / Caregivers to provide care for individuals under the APD (Agency for Persons with Disabilities) Waiver Program in Florida.

We are seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers experienced in developmental disabilities, home care, or assisted living, who are ready to work immediately.

This position offers weekly pay, flexible schedules, and immediate openings.

Job Overview:

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide hands-on care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and mental health needs in home and community-based settings.

Your role is essential in promoting independence, safety, and quality of life while ensuring full compliance with APD guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility
• Provide direct care support in home and community settings
• Monitor client condition, including vital signs and behavior changes
• Assist with medication reminders or administration (if trained)
• Support community outings and social engagement
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Use equipment such as wheelchairs, gait belts, or Hoyer lifts
• Complete daily documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
• Follow all APD care plans and compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• AHCA Level 2 Background Screening (required)
• Experience as DSP, Caregiver, HHA, CNA, or similar role preferred

Required APD Trainings:

• APD Direct Care Core Competencies (DCCC)
• Zero Tolerance Training (required)
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• HIPAA Training
• HIV/AIDS & Infection Control
• Medication Administration Training (if applicable)

Preferred Experience:

• APD Waiver / iBudget clients
• Autism, behavioral support, or dementia care
• Home care, group home, or assisted living experience

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely
