About the Company:

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties.

CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as ADL's. These include daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation, trasporting, and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident individual needs.

Essential Duties:

Actively engages with individuals at all times and provide all necessary supports to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements. Follows Active Treatment/Programming schedule.

Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate, and report hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Ensures the safety of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at all times.

Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting, data collection and behavior observations.

Maintains a driving record in good standing with company standards.

Conduct vehicle inspection inside and out daily. Ensure inside vehicle cleanliness after each trip.

Maintain proper documentation of mileage & maintain resident roster each trip. Refuel bus as needed following fuel card protocols.

Ensure resident safety by ensuring seatbelts are on and chairs are locked before driving. Pull up straps after each bus run.

Follows good vehicle loading and unloading procedures as well as ensures compliance with good vehicle safety practices. Consistently follow all state and federal driving regulations.

Required Qualification:

High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Vaild Florida Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

6 months experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$19.50 Hourly
