Overview
The individual is pretty much independent and is looking for a staff that is active and be able to take him to places around the community. The Direct Support Professional plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individual with developmental disabilities . This position involves providing compassionate care and support to clients in various settings, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, patient, and skilled in delivering personalized care while promoting independence and dignity.

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 11:00p - 9:30a

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meals preparation.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to client's unique needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards.
• Provide transportation to client on his daily activities and community engagement, ensuring his safety during transportation or movement.
• Document care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition or behavior.

Skills

• Good driving skills, must be able to drive a van to transport client
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of home care practices and caregiving techniques that promote client well-being.
• Cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living space for clients.
• Ability to provide patient monitoring while being attentive to the needs of those under care.
• Familiarity with direct support services, including food prep, ambulation using and other support services when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to enhancing the lives of those you serve.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
