Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Male Client Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and confident DSP to support a young adult male client with developmental disabilities in a structured home setting.

This role requires someone who is comfortable with behaviors, consistent with routines, and dependable with attendance.

Client Needs

• Young adult male (early 20s)
• Requires close supervision and redirection
• May display behaviors such as grabbing or non-compliance
• Needs support with personal care, including diaper changes and hygiene

This position is best suited for someone who is calm, patient, and able to manage behaviors without becoming overwhelmed.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and ensure client safety
• Assist with ADLs (hygiene, toileting, diaper changes, dressing)
• Follow behavior plans and provide consistent redirection
• Support daily routines and structure
• Complete cleaning, meal prep, and household tasks
• Complete daily documentation using apps

Qualifications

• Experience with autism and/or behavioral support preferred
• RBT or behavioral training is a strong plus
• Comfortable with hands-on personal care
• Reliable attendance is REQUIRED
• Able to stay calm and professional during behaviors
• Comfortable using apps for scheduling and documentation
• CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass background clearance

Important

This is an active, hands-on role. Staff must be comfortable with personal care, behaviors, and maintaining a structured environment throughout the shift.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
