As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Mattingly Edge, you’ll empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, self-directed lives. Mattingly Edge stands out as Kentucky’s only agency offering exclusively one-on-one supports, with no facility-based programs. All support is provided in people’s homes or out in the community, emphasizing real-world experiences and genuine relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support individuals to achieve increased autonomy, quality home life, and community integration
• Help people pursue their personal and professional goals, build skills, and expand their social circles.
• Assist with personal care needs, including lifting, transferring, positioning, and hygiene tasks, to promote safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate documentation through basic computer and written skills.

Requirements:

• Strong interest in working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and a friendly attitude.
• Ability to perform lifting, transferring, and personal care duties when needed.
• Flexible availability, with some nights and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
