Non-certified start at $14Alpha Services provides services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Alpha Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting and day services, provide supervision and engagement that assist the clients to acquire, maintain or improve skills related to activities of daily living.Responsibilities-

• Works directly with clients who have intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Report directly to Residential Coordinator
• Successfully completes training in a timely manner
• Daily documentation
• Facilitating Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with varying levels of needs.
• Be able to multi-task
• Ability to bend and stoop, push/pull, and lift up to 100lbs as necessary.
• Assist consumers with behavioral needs
• Other duties as assigned

Direct support professional Experience-

• 1 year preferred, but will train the right person

Direct support professional Specific Requirements-

• High School Diploma/or GED
• Valid Driving License
• CPR/First Aid

Duties:

• Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
• General cleaning and household duties
• Accurate and timely documentation
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Feeding, bathing, and toileting clients
• Maintaining patient’s health equipment
• Responding to emergency situations
• Administering medication
• Transporting clients as requested
• Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
• Providing support with hobbies, interests, and goals.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
