Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. This is a full-time 11p - 9a position with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and day program.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect confidentiality and privacy.
- Engage clients in social activities that promote community involvement and enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Background in patient care, nursing home settings, or home health is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their fullest potential.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is an advantage but not required.
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Clean criminal background
- Child abuse registry check
