Direct Support Professional Overnights

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide overnight care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities in the residential setting. This role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of residents during overnight hours in a group home or community setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments and possess a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those served.

Duties

• Assist with activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts with flexibility for long-term commitment.
• Strong patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills when working with people with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• High school diploma/GED is REQUIRED
• Must 21 years or older AND be able to pass background checks and drug screening
• Driver's License required
• Compassionate attitude toward providing respectful and person-centered care in a home & community setting.
• Hours include Friday 11:00 pm to 9:00 am and Saturday/Sunday 6:00 pm to 9:00 am (this is a full time position)
