Direct Support Staff

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate assistance and support to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will foster independence, promote well-being, and ensure a safe, respectful environment. Your proactive approach will empower individual's to achieve their personal goals while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through engaging, hands-on support. No prior experience required.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Support: Assisting with household tasks, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
• Community Integration: Accompanying individuals to activities like movies, concerts, and special events.
• Goal Achievement: Helping individuals reach personal goals, build skills, and foster independence.
• Safety & Care: Ensuring a safe environment by maintaining a clean & organized area

Requirements

• Age: Must be 19 years of age or older.
• License: A valid Nebraska driver's license is required.
• Physical: Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds (regularly lift 10 lbs, frequently lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs).
• Screening: Must pass a criminal record check, central registry check, and drug screen.
• Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
