This is a full-time on-site role for a Direct Tax Assistant Manager, located in Islamabad
Key responsibilities:
- Technical & Advisory: The Assistant Manager will be required to analyse different transactions to assess direct tax implications, provide advisory support on complex direct tax matters and draft written tax advice.
- Impact Assessments: The Assistant Manager will be required to perform corporate tax impact assessment and Transfer Pricing assessment for various clients.
- Transfer Pricing Documentation: The Assistant Manager will be required to review the benchmarking analysis, Master file, Local File and Related-party disclosures.
- Compliance & Reporting: The Assistant Manager will be required to manage a vast portfolio of client. They should be able to prepare and/or review Corporate tax returns, provision of tax, related filings, Corporate tax registration applications, Corporate tax deregistration applications, amendment applications and refund applications.
- Audits & Assessments: The Assistant Manager will be required to support the client during Tax Authority audits and assessments. They will be required to review the clients’ schedules and prepare appropriate response for Tax Authorities.
- Client / Stakeholder Management: The Assistant Manager will be required to act as a key point of contact for their portfolio of clients. They will be required to communicate any issues and update all matters to the Tax Director and Managing director as deemed necessary.
- Team Leadership & Development: The Assistant Manager will be required to supervise, coach, and review work performed by junior team members and provide on-the-job technical training and guidance.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 years of experience in UAE in Corporate Tax-specific roles
- Background in Corporate Tax inside or outside UAE
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field such as ACCA or CA Finalist.
Additional requirement:
- UAE Corporate tax certifications will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of middle east region like corporate tax in KSA will be an added advantage
- Ability to understand or speak Arabic will be an added advantage
