Accounting Ops (Corp & Genpact)

Role Title: Director, Accounting Operations (Corporate & Genpact)

Function: Finance

Level: G 6 – Director


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for a multi-tiered Finance Operations team, including direct oversight of internal staff and management of third-party provider (Genpact), ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and compliance standards.
  • Own corporate oversight of end-to-end accounting operations, including corporate accounting support for Global People, Tax, and Treasury, driving consistency, accuracy, and operational excellence.
  • Lead and coach junior staff, fostering professional development, building technical capabilities, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and enforce accountability for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of deliverables across internal teams and third-party providers, using performance benchmarks and governance protocols.
  • Partner closely with Genpact to resolve operational issues, drive accountability, and ensure seamless execution of finance processes, acting as the on-the-ground liaison for vendor performance and escalation.
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners to implement process changes effectively across key areas such as Record-to-Report (R2R) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P), ensuring changes are embedded and sustained.
  • Coordinate with the Service Strategy & Excellence team to ensure third-party contracts and service expectations are accurately reflected in operational performance and delivery.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Senior Director, Finance Operations, applying sound judgment to assess risk, impact, and resolution pathways.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Corporate Finance stakeholders to ensure cohesive delivery of finance operations and continuous improvement across the ecosystem.
  • Operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment, navigating complexity and building cross-functional relationships across geographies and business units.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or local equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, accounting, or related functions
  • Experience range is 15-20 years
  • English Proficiency (written and verbal IRL Level 4)
  • Proven experience managing third-party providers in a global finance operations context
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization
  • Strong business partnership and customer-centric mindset
  • Proven ability to lead and coach junior staff across diverse teams
  • Skilled in process management, optimization, and standardization across end-to-end finance processes (e.g., R2R, P2P)
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Analytical problem solver with sound decision-making capabilities
  • Experience in performance monitoring and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comfortable navigating complex issues and building relationships in a global, cross-functional environment
