Role Summary
The Director of Architecture & Engineering provides strategic and technical leadership for enterprise architecture and engineering delivery. This role ensures technology platforms and solutions are intentionally designed, standardized, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives and client needs within a regulated managed services provider (MSP) environment.
Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain
enterprise and domain architecture roadmaps
aligned with business strategy, client requirements, and regulatory standards.

Translate technology strategy into
architectural principles, engineering standards, and target-state designs
.

Own the
end-to-end Plan & Build lifecycle
, ensuring solutions are fully designed, engineered, tested, and production-ready.

Provide architectural oversight and approval across
infrastructure, cloud, application, data, and integration
domains.

Establish, enforce, and evolve
architecture and engineering standards, patterns, and design guidelines
.

Partner with
Security and Risk teams
to ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, resiliency, and disaster recovery requirements.

Lead, mentor, and manage
senior architects and engineers
, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with
CTO, Infrastructure, Operations, Product, and Account Management
leaders to ensure architectural alignment.

Ensure smooth
handoff of engineered solutions
into IT Service Operations and support models.

Balance
innovation, scalability, risk management, security, and operational sustainability
in a multi-client MSP environment.
Required Experience
-
8+ years
of progressive experience in technology, architecture, or engineering roles across multiple domains.

5+ years
of people leadership experience managing senior technical teams or architecture functions.

Proven experience operating in
complex, multi-platform and/or multi-client environments
.

Experience in
financial services, credit unions, or regulated industries
preferred.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems
, or related field preferred.
