This full time position manages the daily operatiion of the Tribal Child Care Center, Early Head Start and Head Start for children ages 0-7 years old. Coordinates weekly staff schedule (including college student use of educational time if applicable); attends and participates in professional meetings and conferences (travel required); maintains overall goals and objectives of the center and enforce personnel policies; responsible for helping with writing grants (CCDF and any others); completes annual written evaluations of Assistant Director and Lead teachers; attends team administration meetings with Hannahville School and collaborate for meetings, activities, the school calendar and safety drills; monitor camera system; supervises educational programs of all classroom curriculum (High Scope, Ready Rosie, etc.); review weekly lesson plans; conducts monthly staff/teacher meetings; orients families to the center and informs them of the center policies; provides in-service training for families and staff and utilizes other institutions in the comuunity; completes staff training plan and/or tribal career development plans; completes family plan; facilitates annual Health Services Advisory Committee meetings for EHS and HS; performs weekly to bi-weekly observations in EHS/HS/child care classrooms to ensure staff are completing anecdotal note taking and maintaining high quality care in the classroom; inputs informatin into Child Plus; collects paperwork from staff four times a year for EHS and HS; organizes and schedules mental health evaluations for Early Head Start and Head Start (once a year); collaborates and organizes Head Start/Early Head Start/Child Care/FACE parent meetings with the FACE staff and Early Childhood Council; attends all IEPs as needed for children; maintains therapy log file; maintains compliance with CACFP meal program; training of staff to renew or receive CPR/First Aid certificate; verify CDA renewals for applicable staff; complete central registry forms; follows Performance Standards and CCDF grant stipulations. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field. Red Cross trainer for CPR and First Aid (must obtain within one year of hire). Experience with the daily running of a childcare center and ability to work with children ages 0-7. Business experience preferred.
