A Brief Overview
The Director of Compensation and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) will be responsible for managing the strategic development and ongoing administration of all compensation programs for the healthcare system ensuring cost-effectiveness, market-competitiveness, internal equity and alignment with the organization's mission and vision. This position provides direction in the development and implementation of compensation policies, practices and procedures to ensure compliance with all organizational, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and practices. This position will also manage the HRIS function and will be responsible for partnering with Information Technology to build an HRIS infrastructure capable of supporting the continued growth of the business and ensuring internal processes are efficient and effective.
What you will do

Provides compensation and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of organizational compensation planning & budgeting, salary administration programs, policies, guidelines, and Human Resources Technology solutions.

Designs, implements, and administers compensation programs and policies involving base pay, executive compensation, incentives, perquisites, and job titling/leveling architecture that align with the business, attract and retain organizational talent, and comply with government regulations.

Manages department staff as assigned. Maintains and develops a competent, productive, and quality conscious workforce by hiring, evaluating performance, counseling, and training department personnel according to Regional One Health guidelines.

Oversees the development and implementation of rewards and recognition programs.

Provides assistance to senior management on incentive plan development.

Serves as internal consultant to Managers/Sr. Leaders regarding compensation initiatives and implements best practices. Provides research and evaluation of compensation market data to guide pay decisions and maintain a competitive compensation program to recruit and retain highly competent staff. Assist leaders through coaching and guidance to produce simplified position descriptions, design effective department structures and career ladders.

Utilizing project management skills, facilitates and/or leads projects to provide creative solutions to processes, and presents recommendations to appropriate staff, management and administration. Ensures that project deliverables accomplish measurable business process improvements that align with strategic initiatives.

Responsible for HRIS systems administration, reporting and HR analytics.

Apprises Vice President, Human Resources of activities, pertinent changes in internal/external market, threats, and opportunities in a timely and anticipatory manner and presents action plans for immediate implementation/approval.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field required, master's degree preferred.

Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience in Compensation and Human Resources Information Systems with at least two (5) years of management experience Required and
Experience in a hospital setting Preferred
