About the Institution
MCTS is a governmental organization mandated to oversee traffic affairs in Saudi Arabia. It is responsible for developing and monitoring the implementation of strategies and initiatives under the National Transformation Program to enhance traffic safety.
About the Role
The Director of Corporate Communications & Awareness will lead and shape the corporate communications, public relations, media engagement, and awareness agenda of the MCTS. This leadership role is responsible for strengthening the institutional image, enhancing public awareness of traffic safety, and ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders to support national efforts aimed at reducing road traffic accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
Reporting directly to the Secretary General, the role requires a seasoned communications leader with strong experience in government or semi government environments, capable of developing impactful awareness campaigns, managing media presence, and leading multidisciplinary communication teams with a clear focus on measurable outcomes and societal impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Committee's corporate communications, public relations, and awareness strategies in alignment with its mandate and national traffic safety objectives.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated media and public awareness campaigns with measurable impact.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with local and national media, government entities, and strategic partners to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
- Direct the Committee's media presence, including monitoring media coverage, managing press engagement, and responding to relevant public narratives.
- Provide strategic oversight for the development of high-quality visual and communication materials, ensuring alignment with the Committee's identity and messaging.
- Lead the planning and delivery of events, initiatives, and forums that promote traffic safety awareness in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the Committee's digital and social media presence to enhance public engagement and institutional visibility.
- Ensure the development of periodic performance and impact reports, including the supervision of the annual report design and publication.
- Establish and track communication and awareness performance indicators to assess effectiveness and inform decision making.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess communication impact and performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Ability to operate effectively in high profile, high stakes environments.

- Proficiency in digital platforms, media management systems, and social media channels.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, media, or awareness related fields.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role with direct people management responsibility.
- Experience within government or semi government entities is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in leading successful communication and public awareness campaigns with measurable outcomes.
- Strong experience working with government stakeholders and media organizations.
- Solid knowledge of government communication standards and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional certifications or executive training in communications, public relations, strategic communication, media campaign management, leadership, or project management are an advantage.
- KPI related certification is considered a strong plus.
