Director, Data Governance

This role leads the end to end data governance function, owning strategy, activation, and execution across the organisation.

It is a senior, technical leadership position with real accountability for outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the full data governance function across the organisation.
• Define and activate data governance strategy, frameworks, and operating models.
• Develop and maintain governance artefacts, policies, standards, and documentation.
• Partner with business, finance, and technology leaders to embed governance.
• Drive adoption, maturity, and measurable impact across large, complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
• 12+ years' experience in data governance, data management, or related fields
• Proven experience leading data governance in very large, complex organisations
• Strong technical understanding of data platforms, metadata, quality, and controls
• A business builder with the ability to turn strategy into practical delivery
• Internationally based candidates only; local UAE based candidates will not be considered
