Director, Digital Marketing and Content Creation

This isn’t your typical marketing or content creator role. After several years of rapid growth, we’re building out our marketing function to lay the foundation for the next several years. You’ll be the first dedicated marketing colleague we hire, meaning you’ll be leading and executing our growth strategy across all channels and media types.

Meaning, this gig’s a little bit of everything. You’ll work directly with our founder across everything we do to build sales:

• Advertising, including working with our ad agency on Google AdWords, LinkedIn, Facebook and (eventually) ChatGPT
• Marketing, including creating digital and print copy, running our social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), working with our web developer and tracking lead generation
• Content creation, including product photography (which for us is essentially architectural photography) and editing, videography and editing, brochure creation, instruction manual drafting and more
• Digital copyright registrations

This position requires creativity, a knack for communication, strong writing skills, a good eye, multi-tasking, analytical skills and a strong understanding of digital marketing. There’s no “perfect” or “ideal” candidate. Maybe you’ve been in a marketing position for a while and are looking to take on a broader role and learn other areas of the trade. Maybe you’re an artist looking to change over to the “dark side” and do something more commercial. Maybe you're an educator in the arts looking to take on some part-time work on an irregular schedule.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Software skills are critical: Adobe suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro), Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools, techniques and KPIs, including on Google AdWords and Facebook Advertising.
• Experience with graphic design, including basic understanding of design elements for creating visually appealing deliverables
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to quickly and concisely articulate writings on assigned topics.
• Strong project management, organizational skills, and demonstrated strengths in managing multiple projects/deadlines.
• Knowledge of marketing, including traditional and digital marketing techniques, PR, social media marketing are a plus
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage small details of a project to ensure accuracy and coherence
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time and work efficiently
• Self-Motivated: Ability to communicate, follow up, work well, and meet deadlines under limited supervision

Ostro Steel Structures is a leading manufacturer and installer of metal building systems in the southeastern US and beyond. Our 175,000sf production facility in Louisville, GA is growing quickly, and we're looking for the right people to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization at our sales and administrative office in Augusta, GA. While this role primarily will be at our Augusta offices, travel to our Louisville facility may be required periodically.
